Like all clever inventions, the ShockWatch is a very simple, inexpensive device which works on the principle of G-force.

Its centre consists of a small glass tube containing a colourless liquid which, at a predetermined level of impact turns bright red and stays that way.

Depending on the particular requirements of your goods and packaging we at Scopus can supply a wide range of labels and clips which incorporate the ShockWatch file.

The product can be selected to operate at different G-force settings so that you can be sure of getting just the right ones for your purposes.

They range between 15 to 200 Gs with reaction ranges from 1/4 to 50 milli-seconds within temperature ranges of -20 to +175 degree F.

These can be determined by such factors as weight, size and application.

The most popular ShockWatch labels are shown below.

  • 100g @ 50m/s
  • 75g @ 50m/s
  • 50g @ 50 m/s
  • 25g @ 50 m/s

The ShockWatch labels are designed to be attached to the outside of containers.

The correct label will only be activated when the appropriate predetermined gravity stress is exceeded as a consequence of the goods being dropped or bumped We can advice on which labels or clips are suitable for your application.
