Computer disk drives
A computer manufacturer experienced severe damage to their delicate
computer disk drives on a regular basis.
The goods would appear not be damaged from a visual inspection
and the costly and lengthy exercise of installing the disk drive
into the computer would take place prior to the supplier knowing
that the goods had been damaged in transit.
SHOCKWATCH clips are now installed onto each disk drive and the
on site engineer can see immediately that the disk is suspect
and should not be installed but replaced.
Furniture in transit
A furniture manufacturer was experiencing problems when his goods
were found to be damaged upon arrival at their retail outlet or
customer location. SHOCKWATCH was attached to all items shipped
and along with the help of the staff and carrier organisation,
this problem disappeared. SHOCKWATCH has continued to save a significant
of time and money for the company, carrier and insurance company.
Their customer complaints have also been reduced dramatically.
